MedicRead™ Online
MedicRead™ 3.0 Colon is a user-friendly, intuitive and downloadable CTC workstation which seamlessly incorporates Medicsight's proven ColonCAD™ technology into an intuitive and flexible workflow. Not only this, MedicRead™ 3.0 Colon runs as a standalone Windows®* application which can be easily integrated within an existing DICOM conformant IT infrastructure.
All CAD marks are shown in MedicRead™ 3.0 Colon’s distinctive display format. This not only highlights the region of interest (in 2D format) but also lists its dimensions and displays them beside the region of interest.
MedicRead™ 3.0 Colon incorporates the unique Medicsight ColonCAD™. Using an advanced Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) algorithm to analyse CT scan data it automatically highlights potential lesions. Medicsight ColonCAD helps radiologists to detect and analyse potential lesions and abnormalities in the colon, more quickly and efficiently.
MedicRead™ 3.0 Colon incorporates Medicsight’s MedicServer™ technology which offers a valuable centralised pre-processing platform that accepts DICOM CT image data from either the CT console or PACS system. Once processed, the results can be quickly and efficiently distributed for interpretation at any number of workstations across the same PACS network.
MedicRead™ 3.0 Colon is the first visualisation workstation that can be accessed online making the benefits of CAD truly accessible to all radiologists for the first time. This enables the international radiological community to experience and utilise the clinical benefits of CAD.

Feature Details:
Import/Export:
The user may import or export studies from various sources e.g. PACS.
Patient Study List:
This is a fully searchable list of patient demographics, radiologist and institution information. A patient sub-study list provides series information, CAD processing status and reports.
3D VR Cube:
The volume rendered cube is a problem solving tool. It centres on the region of interest chosen by the user from any MPR image. The cube may be manipulated by simple mouse actions to allow further assessment of the 3D anatomy.
Segment Editor:
The segment editor allows the user to evaluate and confirm the segmentation of the colon and flight path for the 3D flythrough feature. “DCBE” or transparent view: The DCBE view allows the user to visualise the segmented colon in a 3D semi-transparent view. It displays CAD and user findings, the flight path, and the current location of the 3D flythrough camera.
3D Flythrough:
This is a rendered endoluminal ‘flythrough’ view with user adjustable camera position, direction and viewing angle settings.
Display of CAD Findings:
CAD findings are displayed in all 2D and 3D views. The user may toggle the CAD display on or off. The user may step through CAD findings using a simple mouse or keyboard action.
POI Manager:
The POI manager lists both user and CAD findings and displays information relating to the findings.
Managment of CAD Findings:
The user may confirm or reject a CAD finding and select its location, nature and size. All regions highlighted by CAD are added to the POI manager.
Semi-automatic segmentation of lesions:
This tool provides an automatic measurement of a lesion. It can be used both for CAD or user findings.
Snapshots:
The user can capture images which are then automatically added to the report.
Report Generator:
A report is automatically generated when a study is opened; findings and snapshots from the POI manager are automatically added to a report.
