What are the hardware requirements needed to install MedicRead 3.0?
Recommended configuration
CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 or AMD Phenom X4 9950,
RAM : 4 GB RAM,
Graphic Card: nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ or ATI Radeon HD 4850,
OS: Windows XP Pro SP3 32 bits or Windows Vista Business SP1 32 bits

Is the software compatible for laptops?
Yes you are able to download and use the software on a laptop or PC
How many image slices can be loaded using MedicRead?
On most systems, the maximum number of image slices that can be loaded into the viewer is approximately 1000 (i.e. 2 series containing 500 slices each). Please note that attempting to load studies containing more than 1000 slices may result in the software failing to open the case (an error message will be displayed). It is also advised that large studies are viewed one series at a time (as opposed to two series being loaded at the same time)
Is there a measurement tool available?
Yes, you can measure lesions/polyps in the 2D Multi-Planar Reconstruction (MPR) viewports (this facility is not currently available in 3D viewports)
Where do I go to get help whilst trying to use the software?
In the first instance please use the on-screen help function. When you install the product you will find the MedicRead 3.0 quick reference guide, user manual, user manual addendum (colon), user manual addendum (lung), user manual CT colonography work flow guide in Start menu -> All -> Programs -> MedicRead 3.0 -> Documents.
How will I know if MedicServer™ is connected to MedicRead?
Once MedicRead 3.0 has been installed, Click on ‘Preferences’ button -> go to DICOM tab – check MedicServer is listed here.
Once MedicServer has been correctly set-up, go to the MedicServer Web Admin and click on ‘Configuration’ tab -> Configure remote DICOM server – make sure ‘MEDICREAD’ is listed here.
